Personal Finance Control
Most people feel anxious about money because they don't have a clear picture. Our personal finance courses teach you how to build tracking systems that actually work in real life.
You'll learn to set up monthly budgets, monitor cash flow, and create forecasting models. By September 2025, our evening classes will cover everything from basic expense tracking to sophisticated savings calculators.
These aren't corporate finance tactics—they're practical methods designed for individuals who want better control without hiring an accountant.
Business Financial Planning
Running a small business means juggling invoices, expenses, payroll, and tax obligations. When you understand spreadsheet fundamentals, you can build systems that keep everything organized.
We focus on real-world applications: profit-loss statements, cash flow projections, invoice tracking, and GST calculations. Our autumn 2025 workshops will show you how to automate repetitive tasks and spot financial patterns before they become problems.
Many of our graduates now handle their own books confidently, saving thousands in accounting fees each year.
What You'll Actually Learn
We break down financial spreadsheet skills into digestible modules. Each one builds on the last, so you develop real competence over time.
Budget Architecture
Design budgets that adapt to your actual spending patterns. Learn category structures, variance tracking, and monthly reconciliation methods that reveal where money actually goes.
Formula Foundations
Master the essential formulas: SUM, AVERAGE, IF statements, VLOOKUP, and pivot tables. These tools transform raw numbers into meaningful insights.
We teach through practical examples—calculating loan payments, comparing investment options, or forecasting next quarter's revenue. By the end, you'll write formulas without consulting help documentation.
Cash Flow Modeling
Build models that predict when money comes in and goes out. Essential for businesses with irregular income or anyone planning major purchases.
Tax Preparation Systems
Organize financial data throughout the year so tax time becomes straightforward. Learn deduction tracking, receipt categorization, and summary report generation.
Investment Tracking
Monitor shares, superannuation, property, and other assets in one place. Calculate returns, track performance over time, and understand portfolio diversification.
We also cover comparison tools that help you evaluate different investment scenarios objectively, removing emotional decision-making from the equation.
Debt Management Plans
Create repayment strategies that minimize interest and accelerate freedom from debt. Visualize different payoff scenarios and choose the approach that fits your situation.
Learning That Sticks
We've been teaching financial spreadsheet skills since 2019, and we've learned something important: theory without practice doesn't work. People forget formulas. They abandon systems that seem too complex.
Our approach focuses on building one skill at a time. You start with a simple budget template. Then you learn to customize it for your needs. Each week adds another layer—formulas, charts, automation—until you've built a complete financial management system.
Classes meet twice weekly for eight weeks starting in August 2025. Most students complete homework in under an hour because the assignments reflect real financial tasks they need to do anyway.
We provide template libraries, video tutorials, and email support between sessions. If you get stuck building your cash flow model or can't remember how to create a dropdown list, help is available.
I avoided looking at my bank account because it stressed me out. After taking the personal finance course, I built a system that tracks everything automatically. Now I actually check my budget every Sunday morning with my coffee. It's become routine instead of frightening.
Build Financial Confidence This Year
Our next course intake opens in July 2025. Spots fill quickly because we keep class sizes small—everyone gets individual attention when they need it. If you're ready to understand your finances better, we're ready to show you how.
